Rajita is a postgraduate in Applied Geology and has extensively worked on Climate change and its intersections with various development sectors like agriculture, forest, water, energy, rural livelihoods, human health. She had worked on the MP State Action Plan on Climate Change, assessed climate change vulnerability and risks for Madhya Pradesh, assessed climate change vulnerabilities of two different Agro-climatic zones of Madhya Pradesh – Malwa and Bundelkhand to explore the possibilities of integration of adaptation strategies into programs and policies.
At PHFI, she works to promote Green and Climate Resilient Healthcare in India. She has been part of the team which conducted the National Hospital Energy Survey to develop a baseline of energy consumption in healthcare sector. She provides technical support to hospitals/state governments that are interested in adopting green measures to reduce their carbon footprint.
